Minnesota & Wisconsin

Hi veg-heads!

I'm planning a trip out to MN & WI in a couple of months so I'd love to connect with folks out there. Even if you aren't around or meeting up won't work, I'd still appreciate your tips on how best to enjoy my visit. Minneapolis & Madison are the primary areas I am focusing on but I'm definitely interested in hearing about other places too! :)

Hi greenhart, let me know when you're in Minneapolis, Minnesota and perhaps we can get together. Also, check out my group, Compassionate Action for Animals, that does veg events in the Minneapolis area. Our website VegGuide.org also has a lot of listings in Minneapolis of places to eat out at.

Unny!

Thanks for getting in touch. I'll be flying in on September 10th and out on September 20th. I'd definitely enjoy visiting with you if you have time free. Thanks for sharing those great links! Any general (not necessarily vegan specific) suggestions for the Twin Cities & beyond?

Greenheart, that's a busy time because I'll be busy planning our annual Veg Week, but I will try. Something spontaneous is more likely to work. I recommend checking out the Mississippi River and the lakes (in the city and everywhere north of Minneapolis).

Unny,

My apologies for this delayed reply. Thanks for all the great work you do - Veg Week looks awesome! I'm not sure yet if I can but I'd love to check out the food give-away on the 11th as it is the only Veg Week event that could work with my scheduled visit. Happily, right after I get back to Portland, we're having our annual VegFest: http://www.nwveg.org/vegfest
