Do medicines contain lactose?

Hi,

Hi grade lactose monohydrate is a common binder material used in tablets and capsules, as well as some aerosols inhalers.

There are brands of vitamin supplements that specifically advertise their lactose-free nature. I'd imagine it's easier to find lactose-free nutrition supplements than lactose-free pharmaceuticals.

is a good place to start for animal-free medication for common use. Still, do heed the warning that ingredients can change or be difficult to discern.
