Nutella!?
Posted May 25th, 2013 - 1:10 pm by from Kreuztal, Germany (Permalink)
Hi everybody,

I'm vegetarian since one year now and I heard in this time that stuff like Nutella contains blood of pigs!?

My first question: Is that true?

Because I avoid it completely since then.

But does anybody know some vegetarian oder better vegan alternative for this, obtainable in germany?

Otherwise I would also be happy about some recipes to do by myself.

Thank you a lot!

Regards,

Julia

Julia

Doesn't it say on the label what's in it?

Here you are, in English:

INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, PALM OIL, HAZELNUTS, COCOA, SKIM MILK, REDUCED MINERALS WHEY (MILK), LECITHIN AS EMULSIFIER (SOY), VANILLIN: AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR.

leticina: really bad for the body

vanillin: nothing good about it

As far as I know, there are two option for vegan nutella: Valsoia nutella, that's a brand in Italy, they produce amazing thing and in Ireland, the "regular" nutella from the Spar brand is vegan.

But, as you said, you can do as well, so...

here is a recipe if you want to try: http://www.sugoodsweets.com/blog/2005/12/nutella/

PS : as Nutell is CorpoFood, or junk food mosty likely,
ALL kinds of ``ingredients`` might be there.

Have somebody heard, for example, that
typical,non organic, chocolate

contains dog fat ?...

Probably organic choco is free from this, but regular chocolate hmm... And sure they NOT gonna mention
that in the list of ingredients...

So it is better not to be naive...
