Going Vegan
Posted October 29th, 2013 - 10:08 pm by from Bristow, United States (Permalink)
Hi all,

I've recently decided I'm going to go vegan, and I've convinced my friends and family to join me. I've kind of told them all I would figure out everything we need to know, so I'm looking for some help. Would anyone be wiling to be my vegan guide? Are there good vegan resources out there someone could point me towards? Looking for answers to any health questions we might have and, of course, recipes to win everyone over right away.

Thanks,
Ed

p.s. While I agree with all the moral reasons to go vegan, we're all doing this for the health reasons. I'm also going to try to cut out sugars and processed foods as much as possible - any advice in that regard would be appreciated as well.

I really enjoy "Forks Over Knives".

It's a website/group made up of doctors and others who've done their research, and offers all kinds of recipes, resources, and inspiration.

http://www.forksoverknives.com

There's LOTS of information, so don't be overwhelmed.Just take it one step at a time.

Watch the movie first (I think it's a free download). I bought the DVD and share it with others.

Congratulations on choosing the path to better health: you'll see others who have, as you have, in the movie and through the website.

All good to you,
Cherie

And Ed

Not only will your health improve, but you'll find your new dining style is so much more appetizing and delicious than any old boring "meat and potatoes" dinner ever was!

Get ready for the best!

i`m vegan since 2 years ago. it was like a education time. and i think there is still a lot to learn. at first i stopped to eat dairy, it made me more healthy. because i didn`t know i had some digestion problem with these products. being vegan is a natural procces . maybe you decide at a moment but your body adapt little by little.

You should also consider raw vegan diet, it did wonders for me. Heat processed and industrial foods, which most common vegans unfortunately use very often, can be detrimental to one's health as well. I recommend reading 80/10/10 from Doug Graham. Cheers! :)
