it's probably laziness. and beard makes you more serious and mature. i myself wear a beard that can vary from light to long, but i never shave with blades, only with electrical device that makes my beard look like 3-54 days old.

I agree with you Alessandro, but i have to add 1 question to all this...

Nature do nothing(or almost) for case, so if men got beard why cut out?

It is soft, worm during winter, make your aspect more serius and mature... I only see positive aspect in all this...

Ciao Paolo
as you wrote:

1) it depends (mostly) on the partner ;-)
so not from the beard hitself

2) after a while beard itches
dunno, if you say so but i don't have that problem... it appen for me if is is short

3) in summer beard bothers
I agree with this, but only in part... and it is not only a beard problem but air problem in general... but what to do nature is normaly right but almost always cruel

4) beard should be kept controlled...
and with this too

Hi Green,

I really think that wearing beards or goats is not a particular behavior linked to italian men nor a way to look more attractive or something else.
Everyone should be free to look as she/he likes and to totally express her/his personality by that not caring about what people think about them.

At the same time, I guess that you can find every kind of facial appearances in Italy as well as in every places you can visit all over the World.

Best,

Andrea, shaved atm ;-)
