Forint - about the money - question
Posted December 26th, 2009 - 6:45 pm by from Graz, Austria (Permalink)
It's not 100% sure if I get a ticket but if I get one I'm going to see budapest. But I have a question about the Forint: I found out that my grandmother has got some old forint coins and banknotes which she purchase during the 1970s. Are they valid? Can I buy with it ;)?

Hey, those banknotes and coins are somewhat museum pieces now :) By the way, what is their condition? Are they in a good shape? Aren't they folded or crumpled? If those banknotes are in good shape then they might be worth of something to banknote collectors :)
Eventually do you have 20 forints banknotes? AFAIK those are the only banknotes in the world depicting a naked man!

Ha ha... I thought this what you said :D
So I have to exchange euros into forint.

She has got these banknotes:

Wow.. I really love that banknote (for whatever reasons). The naked builder of communism. :)

For those who haven't seen it yet: http://papirpenz.hu/reszletek/132

Andras, your experiences are just impressive. I hope I'm going to have similar ones in some years :)

See you in Budapest.
