IT backend

Hi,

the IT backend is available here for download:

http://www.brazsik.hu/wintercamp/wintercamp_backend.zip

This system made is possible to maintain the registrations, assign beds, do the checkins, handle credit card / bank transfer payments, statistics, etc. Check its main menu.

I share it cause maybe it will be useful one day for the next wintercamp organizers. It was written only by myself, in a very rush development, feel free to ask about it later (when you are reading this in 2015 also :). It consists no personal/sensitive data.

David

Hmmm...

1. SQL Injection prevention is done at the sensitive parts. CHeck bed reservation parts.
2. If you have problems, please private mail for me.
3. There is a security checking at every party - forget to check require "logincheck.php"

4. I tell you again: there was no time for normal development. It was done next to normal daytime job - in the daytime job time next to .

5. This was my first PHP program actually...

I removed the program - so next campers will have the opportunity to write a better, on the other hand they will not get ideas what we found useful to have it.

Ask Nagelfar to make it better, he seems have time for that :)

Guys,

you overestimate the whole effort of the project.
Doing some PHP calls to a database, and displaying its result can be done quick.

As I worked on a workplace computer, in a simple notepad. Installed nothing :)

From work point, I work as a project manager, not as a developer - doing coding was nice (as it remembered me for oldie times...) but I would not competite these days with an architect.

Hi,

thanks for your comments :).

I suggest to do the same like me: get laid tonight,
drink less coffee, and then I will be open to discussions and you will have better mood :)

Writing a specification can be done, when I will have free time. Or we can do in worktime, if you pay the fee (As you work in this area, you surely know the rates of it..)

I know about the open security issues - actually being a CISA I must know them.

Again, there was no time for that. It was done in about 4 days without PHP knowledge.

The first code lines I just simple copied from examples.

As I progressed, I began to know something about PHP, so was a bit better. But then the camp was started.
The main goal was in that short days simple to reach our destination: have a payment and checkin system.

Reason: the guy who originally agreed to do it, did for two month almost nothing ("It will be done, few more days, almost done, etc...). So it was an emergency solution.

Software? Vienna Calling? What's that?

Who cares about Software if you have Pen, Paper & somewhere to put the Money into. And then at the End you hope that you get as much Money back as you paid before.
No really ... Software is only needed when it helps to do stuff (which was necessary for BPWC because of Preregistrations & Bed Booking) but not always the best & necessary thing to do :)
