Reporting to local municipality
Posted August 12th, 2013 - 12:10 pm by from Rotterdam, Netherlands (Permalink)
Hi all,
In the next month I'll be moving to Berlin! :) It's my understanding that I should notify the local municipality about my arrival.
Is that so? If so, where can I find more information on this? Is it quick? I'll have about a week after my arrival before starting my new job.
Best & perhaps see you soon,

Hi Peter,

it s true, that you have to go to go to the Bürgeramt. However, you are free to go to any in Berlin to do your registation. Some only work on appointment (mitte, neuköln, kreuzberg...) cause they were so overrun. i always like to go to pankow or zelendorf. no appointment needed, short waiting..

all the best,

Gewoon even op de website kijken en een afspraak maken, dat voorkomt een hoop wachten. Let er ook goed heb dat je alle benodigde papieren bij je hebt, anders kom je voor niets.
