Tassie trip Sept 21-27, then Overland!
Posted August 29th, 2013 - 11:29 am by from Banff, Canada (Permalink)
Hello fellow CSers!
I am heading to Tas to do the overland on the 27th but decided to go down a week early for some sight seeing! I was going to just book a 5 day tour out of convenience, but I thought maybe there are others out there around the same time who might like to split the cost of renting a car and driving around ourselves!? I have a 2 man tent, providing the weather is nice we can sleep in there, otherwise maybe CSing or cheap hostels. wasthinking wineglass bay, Hobart, port Arthur, the caves and hot springs, and maybe mount field and Queenstown if we have time. Any suggestions? Want to join!?

Hi Mel,

I'm planning to go to Tasmania as well! Catching the plane from Melbourne on the 21st and heading back on the 25th. Let me know if you're still looking for some travel partners! Atm I'm up for anything, I still have to do some research about Tasmania so I don't know yet where to stay or what to see :)

Matthias, unfortunately, I haven't been to the east coast yet!! Im a bit unusual and am doing it backwards to most people haha. Spent the last 5 months in Melbourne and around Victoria, and now Tasmania. I will go to the east coast in a few weeks. Whatever I discover, ill let you know!
