Unrecognized countries...

So here's a fun activity. Go up to the "Where would you like to go" box. Enter Yemen. Then you can couchsurf in Djibouti. Try looking for Oman, you get directed to UAE. How about Kuwait? CS sends you to KSA.

I know it's a technical thing, and not a conscious decision, but for a website who tries to promote international understanding and cultural sharing, to not even be able to search these countries (i'm sure there are more) is a major insult to those people. I got a "we're working on it" response, but this has been like this for quite a while now. NOT COOL!!!

Found a few more:

Eritrea get sent to Ethiopia (and the countries don't like each other)
Georgia gets sent to the US state, not the country.
Seychelles gets sent to Somalia (slight difference there)

I am not trying to critisize CS for this but seriously making a whole country disappear and making it part of an "area" of lesser importance can be very offending for an entire Nation.
Georgia is a well know touristic/travelling destination and doesn't even appear on the maps.
It's capital, Tblisi, with 1.4 million people, appers in the "vladikavkaz" area.
Vladikavkaz belonging to Russia, population a mere 300 thousand...and we all know how Georgians and Russians love each other...

This has been going on for quite a while now.
Is it so complicated to resolve this?
We are speaking about geography here, not political views or opinions.

CS should make a faster and effective effort to take care of these problems which I believe much more important than ....
