@ HELP @ How many FLAGS to REMOVE a post?
Posted April 12th, 2013 - 12:02 am by from Florence, Italy (Permalink)

Please I need some answers:

1) How many flags to remove a post?

2) Do you think this number could change depending on the reason of the flag (commercial spam, couch request, ... )?

3) Do you think Moderators flags count more the others'?

4) When a post is removed, do people receive a warning? What's specifically?

Thanks guys!

5) do cities with smaller populations still need as many flags?

6) does the number of active members in a city change the number of flags required?

(living in darwin, and as there's only 3 or 4 ppl who contribute regularly to the place page, we have never been successful in having something removed)

A flag from an ambassador or a former moderator (before places pages appeared an had 'no moderators'), used to remove a post.
In early march the software was changed to make everyone 'equal'. meaning you now need more than one person to flag something before it disappears.
Some busy weekends we get loads of inappropriate posts and if you want to keep your conversations boards clear (and each city seems to have a different take on this) then you might need to ask people to help out with the flagging - CS refused to tell me how many flag were needed.

Then of course we have a debate about whether the internet should have 'rules' and why people can't post whatever they like wherever they like...

This post also has useful info on what happens when a flagged post is removed.

It helped us a little, as people were getting frustrated feeling that they had to reply to each post on the conversation board explaining what the OP should do....now they don't feel they have to do that, and 'just flagging' is fine.
Some people still choose to take a deep breath and explain, and that's all very nice, but they seem to be newer people (or newer 'lead people') and I suspect they'll end up frustrated and short-tempered at some point...

Mah ... just suppositions ... I don't understand why they don't make this point clear ...
