Open Couch Request...how to find it or change it?
Posted April 17th, 2013 - 2:41 pm by from Playa del Carmen, Mexico (Permalink)
I feel a bit stupid because surely it's there but I cannot find it.
When you want to post an open couch request (or itinerary) from home I click on "find a couch" then I put the city.
It gives me a list of hosts and it gives me the chance to enter my travel plan.
GREAT.
What happens if I want to edit my travel plan once I wrote it?
what happens If I want to view my travel plan?
What happens if I want to ADD a new travel plan for the same place (maybe I return to the same place a week or a month later).
Once you write the travel plan, the system doesn't seem to let me write another one going through the order I mentioned above.
This does not seem right to me, and unless I am unable to find it, it's a flaw in the system.
Any help, any advise?

Do you mean this:
https://www.couchsurfing.org/couchmanager?tab=itinerary

At least I used it earlier and was able to check my travel plans and cancel requests once I didn't need them anymore..

Thank you for the explanations.
If we already posted a travel plan or itinerary for a city, then the blue text
"Post your Travel Plans! Members who post Travel Plans significantly increase their odds of getting hosted."
Which appears when you click on "find a couch" is not there anymore, meaning you cannot post 2 travel plans for the same city.
The only way I have to reach the existing travel plan is to click on the couch requests and chose the tab itinerary which leads to the link that Vesna posted.

Do you guys find this "easy" to find and immediate? is it ok for you or should it be more evident and direct?
thanks for your comments!

Well, the link can be found at the dashboard too, but I've always used it through the couch manager because it made sense to be there. If I posted an Open Request and got an invitation, I'd go to the couch manager just the same. Maybe now with the new Surf/Host tabs it might be more confusing indeed, but I don't intend to use these as long as I'm able to use Don's add-on ;-)
