Visiting Istanbul During Ramadan
Posted July 30th, 2011 - 7:29 am by from Mississauga, Canada (Permalink)
Dear Lovely People of Istanbul,

I have heard so much about you and your wonderful city. So I am very excited to make my first trip to your country.

But I have a few concerns that I am sure that some of you can help me with. I am planning to be there from 20th -25th August and I realized after making my reservations that it is the Ramadan time. So I would like to know if I should be concerned as a tourist? Are there some challenges I would face as a tourist to see/experience the place?

Two, what are absolutely a must see places in and around Istanbul?

Three, areas one should stay in - safe, close to tourist areas etc.? Good and reasonably priced hotels you can recommend?

Four, I really don't know anyone is the city and I would be there alone.. Where can find some good company? any of would have sometime to hangout and share your rich background with me?

Thanks in advance!
