Free Food For Vegans Freegan
Posted July 13th, 2010 - 9:37 pm by from Harare, Zimbabwe (Permalink)
Hi there,

I've just learned about Freeganism and was wondering if anyone here knew about freegan meet ups?

Watch the video below. if you're interested please let me know. I would like to start a Paris Freegan meet up regularly if there isn't one already.

The girl i meet at the meeting said she hadn't bought food for over 2 months and all she bought was some oranges to give to a friend...

This is a really cool way of having fun, meeting interesting people, saving money and saving food.

Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting up

Do you know about how it works here in France?
There are some supermarkets where it's possible to do this?
Or maybe some popular market...I have already seen womans do this in the end of the markets...they keep the vegetables (the trash)

And...have you heard about make social dinners, for the homeless or for some squat??

Hi all,

This group and especially this message thread looks very interesting.

I am a vegetarian by culture, and last entire week I spent in Paris with my girlfriend. We both are vegetarians and love animals (alive, not on plate) and were always in search of some good vegetarian/vegan place to eat.

I am an Indian and luckily we had our hotel very close to a big Indian hub, where we could eat cheaply (almost FREE if you consider the Paris prices) and my girlfriend could also know more about Indian food.

It's a pity I didn't know about this group before. But anyways, Freeganism is a new word for me, although no new concept.

I hope to see you guys when in Paris again.
