Salom David,
wanted to hear some opinions on topic :
"What do you think on this? Royal Hoax: Nurse's Body Flown To India".
Wanted and waited to read something about English varieties, because the victim of this tragic story was a hinglish speaking nurse, in that sad case she was like a reception nurse and may be she had not believed that her professional achievements/skills were so high scored, but her duties had included queen english too and here she was not one with relevant skills...
Because of this tragic story everyone would now has her/his doubts in being understood relevantly at this hospital?!
and now you and others about dogs?!
are those dogs, we are reading about barking in English varieties too?!
BTW,there are very interesting articles of ‏@TheEconomist : There are many questions to be asked about the future of English now that a majority of its speakers are non-natives
http://econ.st/U6UR6F
Patrick Kingsley, a journalist, used the current fascination with Danish television to write a short book on Denmark http://econ.st/V6TyFG
Assume that very soon the British public would be above all concerned about the quality of their mother tongue...
A poll conducted on behalf of The Economist shows that British public are above all concerned about the economy http://econ.st/URnTpk

Darrell,
in Russian mass media it was written, that she was a core person in her family, also the main earner for her family prosperity...
After that incident she may not be in high position in Britain, because high positions, being in companies or hospital suggests the allocation of the real queen English speakers.

I think the nurse was probably mortified when her name was published and she was excoriated in the English tabloids. The embarrassment and shame at the moment must have seemed insurmountable and she made a most unfortunate decision. I certainly feel things may have turned out differently had her name not been made public.

The English tabloids are poisonous. There has just been an parliamentary enquiry into the way the press have been hacking in to voice mails. One man in Bristol was vilified when one of his tenants was murdered because he is a tad eccentric. He had to go into hiding as the tabloids insinuated that he was the killer. If he had been the murderer he would never have had a fair trial as the papers had already pronounced him guilty. The trouble is people do read them.

Anne,
Assume that tabloids are for some specific readers, belonging to some society stratospheres due their birth,positioning/positions in that society ?!
Btw, what is the difference among those medias:
tabloids, yellow press and boulevard press?

Halima,

Unfortunately people tend to believe what they read in the papers. I am not familiar with the term "boulevard press". In the UK they talk about the tabloids and the broadsheets, the broadsheets being the more serious papers with more articles and opinion/editorial columns and covering more world news.

The tabloids seem to me to write about "celebrities" and sensationalise news, quite often without any real evidence.
