Posted July 10th, 2012 - 6:25 pm by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
I am staying for several weeks in Rio and would really like to practizise my Portuguese. German is my native language, but I could also offer English or Spanish in exchange because I lived one year in Mexico. Hope to hear from you! :)

Hey Guys,

I am also interested in participate of the language exchange.
I rather focus in english, if still remained spots available.

The best time for me is in the morning, since I am working from 16:00 until 23:00 every day, including weekends.( 1 random day-off)

best,
Daniel

Ah!! Teutonic.. But it is not a good word to use..... It is a bit offensive and prejudicial.... Like calling a Frenchman a frog, or a whiteman honkey, a blackman bluegum, and so on... So I normally avoi these kinds of expressions.... It is OK by me if someone uses them freely or without a conscience....But i feel more comfortable using people's names, if you see what I mean... Noting against the way people choose how to refer to others... I am Ok with that too.... But, thanks anyway for your kind reply. And how about the group??? Are we really going to get it going?? Or just talk on the screen??? Ilive in Bento Ribeiro, not too close for most people, we could hold our meetings here too, in my house.. But if you guys think Taquara is most apropriate, I am in!!!!! Let's get started at once!! LOOOOOOOOOL

Sweet... I ppreciate your kind reply and your thoughtfulness. Thanks for all the explaining and the way you express your opinion on a given subject.
Well, mostly I have seen people posting on here free conversation groups but nothing ever hits. I started once one with French and Portuguese, but we had two lessons and no more... They were more interested in doing tourism more than anything else, as I live in Rio I could care less about going around or sightseing, if you see what I mean. Therefore, if everyone is up for this, we could try our hand at making this thing fly off the ground. I like learning new things, meeting new people, making new friends and all. So I see in this a great opportunity. I hope it really happens this time around... Going to a language school is rather expensive and ridiculously unproductive. OK... Be looking forward to hearing from you guys soon.... Cheers!!!!
