Hey. A nice climbing wall in the city is at fuixarda at montjuic (google maps: http://bit.ly/yR10cl). About second hand gear: besides shoes I'd recommend to get new equipment since they are saving your life and you don't know it's history. LoQuo is a pretty big second hand online market: http://www.loquo.com/en_us

I totally agree with Chris about the equipment. Further I don't think there is a big market, because usually you put away your climbing gear when you don't trust it any more.

If you are looking for climbing halls offering climbing with rope there is only climbat with one hall on Montjuic and one more to the east. I wouldn't reccomend going to the first one, because the routes supposed to be easy were not nice, maybe they have changed it, but they had been the same for many months. Both halls are quite expensive. If you don't mind going by train there is "la panxa de bou" in Sabadell, not too far away from the renfe and FGC stations. It's cheaper and the routes are better for beginning.

Have fun - Georg
