Large room available in Wellington Central available from 9th September

The flat is a 3 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom in Wellington Central.

There is 1 room available for rent. Rent is $185 per week.

Our flatmate is moving to Auckland, so we're looking for someone to move in to cover the rest of the lease until 14 December. The lease can potentially be renewed then.

This place is fully furnished, including the bedroom (queen size bed, desk, chair, mini bookcases and a built-in wardrobe), though if you have your own furniture that's okay. The apartment is furnished with washer, dryer, a full kitchen, lounge furniture, dining table and so on.

Location - The flat is located very close to the city centre; about 5 mins walking distance from Willis St and 2 mins to Lambton Quay. Close to New World Metro, bus stations, and all of CBD!

About us - we like to share meals and cook together several times a week. It would be cool if the new flatmate is into that, though it's by no means mandatory. We're also a welcoming place, we have friends over for meals and have a mattress for hosting people from time to time. And we like to have dinner parties.

Expenses are usually about $38/weekly during the winter months.

Bond is $560.

If you're interested please reply to the thread with your name/age/occupation and a little bit about yourself.

No couples.
No pets or smokers.

My name is Caroline and I'm moving to New Zealand from the States, I arrive Sept 4 in Auckland and am coming to Wellington on Sept 9. I'm 23, I have a job as a research assistant for a professor where I can work anywhere but I also plan on finding a job through a temp agency when I arrive. I've traveled and lived abroad before, but this is my first time coming alone. I've heard such amazing things about NZ that I decided to get my working holiday visa and come check it out myself! I don't have a place to live yet and would prefer to avoid buying furniture so if this is still available I'd be interested in renting! I'm also a social person and since I currently don't know anyone in NZ this place sounds perfect.

Hi there, I'm Char I'm 23 and I want to say I'm a writer but writer/any job that will have me would be more honest. I am flying to Wellington as of tomorrow and will arrive on the 10th and hope to find long term accommodation as soon as possible because I really don't want to be wasting my money on hostels etc. I have a working holiday visa and will be coming from travelling round Asia but I'm English. If possible I would love to come meet you all and see the room sometime this week. My thai sim may not work but you can email me on charlymcshane@hotmail.com. Thanks.
