The Global Poverty Project
Posted August 28th, 2009 - 11:56 am by from Wellington, New Zealand (Permalink)
So I went along to the Global Poverty Project presentation this evening, which I heard about on the main CS thread. The presenter was a young Australian man, Hugh Evans. He is an incredibly impressive person and his project is awesome. If you would like to know a bit more, there is a website
http://www.globalpovertyproject.com but it's hard to convey the actual experience of being there and seeing him present!

The website's got all kinds of useful and accessible information plus lots of ideas for ways that you can help to eradicate extreme poverty. This project is not about politics, misery, and gloom, it's about hope, collaboration, and caring enough to make a difference.

They also have a youtube channel of videos - http://www.youtube.com/globalpovertyproject

It would be great to get some discussion going among couchsurfers about this project and ways we (and everyone) can do many little and big things to help!
