Welcome to our new sub-group!!!!!
It may be tiny, but it's mighty!
I know this is the start of something great.

When you become a member, if you could introduce yourself, that would be great.

1. A little of your background and your involvement with CS.

2. You riding history.

3. Your top 3 places that you have been riding anywhere in the world.

4. Your favorite New England mountain.

5. What gear you have.

6. Anything you are hoping to get out of this group.

I'll go first!

1. Hi! My name is jess. I have been involved with CS for a couple years now. I first utilized it when I went traveling in the fall of '08. I met some really amazing people, and experienced incredible generosity, so I am looking forward to giving back. I just resettled back into Boston after 4 months traveling and then living in LA, so it feels GREAT to be home.

2. I started riding, I think, only 6 years ago or so, but I went every weekend in the winters since then. I did, sadly, miss last season, though due to knee surgery (I tore my ACL riding in CO). I CANNOT wait to ride this year!!!!

3. The BEST I have ridden: Stubai Glacier in Austria... Number 2: Jay Peak in VT just after a snow storm, and 3: surprisingly, Wawa (Wachusett) after a HUGE blizzard. The snow was SICK!!!

4. Unequivocally, absolutely, unquestionably, Jay Peak

5. I am really curious to talk to anyone with a Lib-Tech board, but anyway... I am still configuring my dream set up. Right now I have: a 2004 Burton Dominant, a 2007 Rome Blue, and my horrible first board. Ride Alpha bindings, and Solomon Ivy boots.

6. I really can't wait to swap stories, mountain suggestions, gear reviews... and to just meet other people that are counting the days until snowfall!

1. Hey everyone I'm Carlos. I heard about CS when I moved to Boston the summer of 2009; I've utilized it to find my way around in the city and to meet locals and people from all over the world.

2. I lived all my life in the Caribbean and my riding experience is limited to last season, I rode 2 times in South PA and NW of Maryland ... I know New England's snow is real powder compared to what I've experienced so far.

3-6. The next four questions are for experienced riders. I still don't own a board or boots but I'm look forward to improve my skills and get some advice when I'm ready to buy some gear. Hopefully this will take off!

Hi! My name is Bridgette (obviously), and I absolutely LOVE snowboarding!

1. I'm a student here in Boston, studying music and math, and I have hosted a bunch of people, and just took a month-long trip through Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, and France, and couch-surfed the whole way =D It was fantastic! CouchSurfing is awesome!

2. This is my second season riding; I started in '08. I am already tackling those New England double black diamonds ;D I am currently a season pass-holder for Attitash.

3 & 4. Unfortunately I injured my knee during my European travels, so I didn't get to go to the Alps =( My top 3 New England trails are: Okemo, Wildcat, and Killington =D

5. I own a '08-'09 Rome Vinyl size 146 board, K2 Bliss bindings (2009), and Burton Lodi boots (which I LOVE because of the cute little birds on the side =D).

6. I'm hoping to meet some fellow CSers on the slopes and have a great time!
