Learn English Through Music!
Posted February 6th, 2013 - 11:35 am by from Saint Louis, United States (Permalink)
Learning a language is often a very boring process, so why not learn through music instead!

I am an American English Teacher with a certificate for teaching adults from the University of Cambridge. I have taught English one-on-one and in class settings in both Israel and Colombia.

I am also a Ukulele player!

If you aren't familiar with the instrument, a Ukulele is a small guitar-like instrument with 4 strings that comes from the island of Hawaii. Because of its small size, and only 4 strings, it's a very easy to learn the basics. See an example of Ukulele music below by Jake Shimabukuro, one of the world's best Ukulele musicians.

My approach to our lessons is simple. Each lesson we learn to play a song together, I teach you how to play the chords on the Ukulele and we talk about the words and phrases in the song and their meaning. After your first lesson you'll already to be able to play a song on your Ukulele!

This course is great for students who want to improve their level by learning often-used phrases in English and new vocabulary.

The cost for the course is 2500 HUF/lesson (each lesson is one hour) and a Ukulele will be provided for you to learn with.

So if you are interested send me an email at Tyler.Fishbone@gmail.com and we can start making music together!

Sincerely,
Tyler
