Looking for English Teachers
Posted November 12th, 2013 - 8:43 am by from Budapest, Hungary (Permalink)
Hello!

I'm an English teacher here in Budapest, and there seems to be a lot of work available for English teachers at the moment. Lately I've been contacted by more prospective private students than I can take on, and most of my colleagues are in the same position. I was thinking it'd be nice to have a little network of other English teachers out there that I could recommend to people who contact me looking for a teacher. So would anybody like to swap contact info? Of course, I don't want to recommend just ANYBODY (I've got my reputation to think of, after all :) ) so it would be best if you had a teaching certification and a bit of experience. PM me if you're interested, and we can chat about it.

Also-- if you don't have a teaching certification but want one/are considering doing one, we could chat about that, too-- if you have questions or are looking for advice, I might be able to help.

Hi Shannon

I am working as a English teacher here in Bp too.

I don't have a cert beyond a 40hr ESL but I do have a few students mainly children. I would like a few more though..

Its funny that i had a similar thought recently about developing some kind of network of teachers, not least because one of my current employers is an agency which charges the students quite a lot to ensure their cut..

Secondly Yes It would handy to gain further accreditation.

Hope to hear from you soon

David

hello,

i am not a teacher, but i had an idea and maybe you guys can provide feedback - i wanted to build a platform, where student or anybody whom wants to learn english (at a basic level) to have support materials and lessons; i can take care of the technical issues, but some teachers have to provide with some materials.

please let me know if you find this idea attractive or not.

Shannon,
Do you think you can help me find tutors and work for English teaching in budapest? I'm a TEFL teacher and have experience teaching in Russia.

Dear English teachers!

I'm looking for a native speaker to help me boost up my English a little. In February I'm moving to the UK to do an internship there - actually I'll be working in a hospital, so my speaking skills will be challenged for sure. I think I'd need just a couple of lessons. We could start anytime.

I'm happy to hear any contacts (with prices, if possible).
Thank you in advance.

Happy New Year!
Kinga
