A book of 'Charity Travel' got published in Korean, in Korea!!
Hello, members of Charity Travel in CS!
Happy New Year, everybody~!
Been a while since I wrote in this group.
Hope everybody's doing good wherever you are.
I, Yeon Choi, one of a founder of Charity Travel along with Kameil Verwer, wrote a book of our journey of Charity Travel in Korea and it got published on December 28th, 2011!
It's called 'Good Travel Design' in Korean. (You might go... 'huh?? what a weird title!', but well... ask the publisher... ^^)
Here's the link.
So... it's been almost 3 weeks since it has been on stalls of book store. We are very happy to have finally something tangible in our hands about our adventurous independent volunteering journey. It contains lots of episodes of volunteering in many countries, as well as my personal point of views on travel, love and life.
Really sorry for those non-Korean speaking people that it's all in Korean now. Will moving on to English soon but... well, at this point, I am not sure how long it would take.
But I am definitely working on it.
Just wanted to say that Charity Travel is growing.
Thank you for all supports and hope this platform in CS is helpful to share information on volunteering.
Happy new year again and HAPPY CHARITY TRAVELING!!
Help Spread this Idea!
Hello to all the good people who have shared this group. Now let's do more::
1) Invite your (CS) friends to join and share opportunities to do something good;
2) Find us on Facebook ("charity travel") and blogspot (charitytravel.blogspot.com) and challenge us by supporting good initiatives even more efficiently.
3) Let's convince Couchsurfing to make a "volunteering/sponsoring" button on our profiles, so grassroots organizations can present themselves here and recruit intrepid volunteers.
4) Share your own stories and blogs HERE in this group. We can all learn from each other,
