Travel mentor seeking charities to send volunteers to
Posted November 16th, 2012 - 6:29 pm by from San Jose del Cabo, Mexico (Permalink)
Namaste!
I have just started a travel mentorship business called Alchemy of Travel:
http://www.alchemyoftravel.com/

I will be working one-on-one with clients to help them have more fulfilling, locally connected travel through mentorship and trip-planning. I will be referring my clients to Couchsurfing and various volunteer programs.
I have 14 years of experience in budget adventure travel with a lot of volunteering, however, I would like to expand my global contacts. If you are part of a locally-run NGO that is seeking volunteers, please contact me at alchemyoftravel@gmail.com and tell me more about your project. My goal is to link travelers with small, locally-run programs that connect people with the real culture and learn real life skills. I'm not interested in expensive voluntourism packages. I also do not charge the NGOs anything or ask for any commission. I simply charge a consultation fee to my client.
Also, if you have volunteers lined up who could benefit from a consultation session on how to travel and live abroad, cope with culture shock, etc, I'd be happy to speak with them!
Here is more info on the services I offer: http://www.alchemyoftravel.com/services.html

All the best to you in your work!

Mahalo!
