I came to live and work in Yosemite in 1985 and never left. I have a farm just outside the park. My kids are Yosemite Indian's. The park has a wonderful employee recreation department, you won't have any problems making friends, if you do contact me I'll introduce you around, everybody knows me and my kids up there. Here's my YouTube channel.

Here's a vid of a typical thing they do up there.

Hey All!
I'm coming out to Yosemite on May 3/4. It's part of my first trip to the West Coast. I fully expect to come back and spend some chunks of time camping in Yosemite because I know there's NO way I can even see everything this area has to offer. But I would love some advice on what to see while I'm here!
What's the best of the best? The one sight I simple CAN'T miss?

Thanks in advance!

What to see and do all depends on what you are interested in, your abilities, time constraints and time of day.
The Mist trail is the most popular for a reason.
Here is me and my son hiking it, May is the best time of year to do it and this year probably early May is going to be best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPtgaFe1F2Y
If you would like more advice PM me, always happy to give it. Bear.

It's an incredible park. Youre going to love it. If glacier point rd is open, I love glacier point, taft point, and the fissures up there. A simple drive through the valley is mind blowing. And spring is an incredible time to see the waterfalls in the area. If you have time for the hike up to yosemite falls I'd recommend it.
