Looking for a job - Bilingual (French & English) Entry level Project Management / Customer Service / Administrative
Posted February 27th, 2011 - 3:03 pm by from Vancouver, Canada (Permalink)
Hey guys,

How are you doing? Hope you are well.

Listen I am new in the community so I will try my best. I am moving to
Vancouver on the 22nd of March (flight booked) as I have obtained a
Canadian visa + work permit for a period of one year.

I am as the title show looking for a job in Vancouver. To be honest, I
would find a job which fits with my education and previous experience.
It will allow me to make more money and survive the big city, I heard it
was expensive to live there. On the other hand, if I cannot I will take
anything available, Anything!

Ok, bit on my profile. I am French and I was living in Ireland for four
years. Recently I have been volunteering in Togo for three months.

I hold a MSc in Business Management (2.1GPA) from the Dublin City
University in Ireland. My last position was Junior Project Manager. I
was working in PayPal (Dublin, Ireland) as part of their Graduate
Programme, do not know if there is similar program in North America but
anyway.

I am now looking for an entry level position in the Project Management
environment or even administrative/customer service. My plan is to stay
few years in Canada to build my career. I know companies are scared to
give job in this area if they know that you will go a year later... but
it is not my case lol.

So here I am. I would like to know if you have any contacts who could
help me or if you have any advices/tips that would be beneficial for me.

I am applying everyday for jobs on websites such as Craig, Workopolis,
Indeed, etc... etc... but I did not receive much answers from my
applications. I hope this is due to the fact that I am not in
Canada...yet.

Well if you hear of anything let me know pleeeeease. I do not know
anyone in Canada and would be glad to receive some help on this.

Thank you for having spending time on my story.

Have a nice day/night :-)
