Weekly volleyball - NIGHT SHIFT
Posted November 23rd, 2009 - 5:01 pm by Rico Morgado from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Permalink)
Our night shift usually takes place in the area in front of Marriot Hotel, at 08:00 PM.

We have all the proper equipment and new people are always welcome. However, check in advance if the match is going to happen, by posting here or getting in touch with me or the other involved group members.

See you there.

Techinique level (READ CAREFULLY)
Posted May 18th, 2010 - 5:44 pm by Rico Morgado from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Permalink)
Guys, please read the information bellow very carefully. I have received complaints regarding the low level of our volleyball.

1) Our volley matches are not a CouchSurfing meeting. So, if you don't have any volleyball skills (or if you don't even like volleyball), I strongly recommend you to check Rio de Janeiro group and see what events are going on there. There are a lot of nice people always working on that.

2) The Monday Night Shift has been active for more than two years. It means that the team has already evolved into an INTERMEDIATE level. So, if you are a beginner (with no experience with the game), this shift is not for you. Try to gather other people for a beginner level match, in this case.

3) And if you are an advanced player (or even a pro), consider that the technique level might not fully satisfy you.

Cesar Lombardi (this group's moderator) plays volley every week and helps arranging things for the games.

If you have any doubt, ask him or me, whoever is available at the moment.

Sunday shift is open again.

Just to remember: we play at Copacabana Beach, in front of Marriot Hotel (near Santa Clara street). I have all the required equipment.

I need people with basic experience, for an intermediate level game. If you feel like coming along, contact me.
