3 Mexicans search for CS experience + Festival Goers
Posted May 16th, 2011 - 3:11 pm by from Mexico City, Mexico (Permalink)
Hi fellow musicphiles!

My name is Sergio, study Architecture in Berlin, and together with 2 best friends will be traveling to Barcelona from 25th May-30th for 5 days of getting to know Barcelona, it's food, and the menage of bands which will be playing there.

I write to shout out to anyone in Barcelona who will be attending the festival and can host us. This way, we can join the beauty of the CS experience and the beauty of music indigestion!

I just never ever want to travel without CS, I am addicted to it, and the idea of sharing the Primavera with a host sounds orgasmic, to say the least.

So, much love! much enjoyment to all who are attending, and see you in a week!

Sergio, Erika and Huevo (ok ok... his name is Diego, but no one calls him llike that).

Ciao and hallo!
as per previous post re Primavera and finding CS hosts, it seems to be a very difficult thing to arrange (which I find hard to understand why).

there's a group in facebook where we've been dealing meet ups, ticket sales, price of drinks and so on..
u can find and join us @ http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_121302814610500&ap=1
it's called "Primavera Sound Crew 2011" :)

keep in touch and take care

Thanks man! I'm already a member of the fb group... it's the same story till now :( ... no one seems to be able to combine both experiences, or haven't opened up to the possibility of it. I think this is really weird for the spirit of CS... strange...

Anyways, I'll keep up the search, and see you in one of the events made by the FB group! Those should be freaking awesome!

Hey everyone, well, it seems as no hosts are available for now in Barcelona, so my friends and I have begun to search for hostels in the area, who are not too expensive. The problem is, almost all hostels under €30 a night are booked, and one would have to jump around hostels in order to have availability for the nights we will be in Barcelona... which is doable but gets in the way of enjoying the festival. so... it's now becoming a question of survival.

Is there really no one out there who can host?

actually , even though i have a nice couchsurfer friend that will hosts me, i'm starting to get that the classical experience of couchsurfing (sharing moments, go out, cooking together...) doesn't really fit with primavera sound festival experience. Infact i'm just realizing that while he will be free, me or i will sleep or i'll go to concerts and we can barely meet! it looks to "use a hostel" and coming back at 5 o clock at couchsurfer home makes me feel kind of ashame, dunno...maybe it's me too problematic.

Well put, Maria! Unless the host him/herself is going to the festival, couchsurfers-festivalgoers can be a pain in the ass - they come home in the morning, sleep through the day and never share/cook dinner because they're not there :)

And I totally agree, which is EXACTLY why I post this in THIS forum and am not looking for a couch with anyone who is not attending the festival.
