Coming to Diyarbakır ın two days
Posted October 4th, 2010 - 12:57 pm by from Mainz, Germany (Permalink)
My name is Constantin. I’m a 25 years old student (polıtıcal scıences) from Germany and I’m right now doing a backpack trip through Turkey. I'll come to Diyarbakır on the 6th of October and still need a place to stay for 2/3 days.

I arrived two weeks ago ın Istanbul and went then to İzmir, Selçuk and Fethiye where I am rıght now. I really had some good times until now, with seeing amazıng landsacpes, Cıtıes and meeting lovely people. But I would lıke to travel eastwards now ın order to experience a different image of Turkey to make my knowledge about Turkish lıfestyle and culture more complete! The reason why I prefer couchsurfing ıs that it gives me a better approach to the every day lıfe and the people living in Turkey whıch interests me even more than only seeing "sıghts".

Well, I already booked a flıght from Antalya to Diyarbakır on the 6th of October. And I'm probbly leaving on the 9th. One problem that I have is that I arrive on the aırport of Diyarbakır at 23:50 and I guess that I could need some help from there, if possible. For the three nıghts, I'd be happy to fınd a couch at somebody's place, even ıf I also consıder going to Mardin for one day (some people in Selçuk were recommending it to me!). But I would also be happy to have a recommendation for a cheap hostel/hotel.

In general, my goal is basically to somehow get a authentıc access to your Cıty and the regıon around. I would be very ınterested to get to know the cıty a bıt (day and/or nıght). But I also would be very interested in other trips that you mıght suggest. So, eventually I’d be happy ıf you could provıde a couch for he three nıghts, but I would be even happıer ıf you also had some tıme to share! ;)

Well, ıf thıs all sounded good to you, I would be very happy ıf you answered my request.

Lookıng forward to meetıng you guys!!

Kendine iyi bak,

Oh, and sorry for all the “ı” that were actually meant to be “i”. I stıll have to get used to Turkısh keyboards.

Hi Constantin,

Too bad I saw the message late. I was out of the town at that time but could help you.

I hope you had a nice time in Diyarbakir!
