Aeroporto internacional - Puerto Iguazu by bus?
Posted December 10th, 2012 - 8:59 pm by from Vilnius, Lithuania (Permalink)
Hey locals!
I am thinking to visit Iguazzu falls on the first weekend of 2013.
Due to my ending 90 days permit to be in Brazil I would need to go to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina directly after my arrival in the Aeroporto internaciona, Brazil.
I would need to pass the customs and to get my pasport stamped at the same time.
How is it easiest to do that? Can I take some buss that goes from the airport to Puerto Iguazzu and stops at the customs? or taxi is the best option?
Please help me:) I am a bit confused and do not find the right info online:)

Hello, what's up?
Will you arrive at the airport in Brazil?
When you arrive, you can take a taxi to the Brazilian customs that are near the airport, or take a city bus that leaves you near the customs (taking the bus is more complicated). In Brazilian customs passes a bus of 30 to 30 minutes to Puerto Iguazú and you will arrive at the bus terminal in Puerto Iguazú and can take a taxi or bus to the airport or to the falls.
The international bus stops at the customs of Brazil and Argentina.
I don't know if I helped you.

See you!
Denis

Hi Milda,

There aren't buses from the airport in Brazil to Puerto Iguazú.

I will give you 3 options:

1st.: Take a taxi from the airport to Puerto Iguazú. That will cost, today, R$ 80,00.

2nd.: Take the that goes to the city (120-CENTRO/TTU) until Hotel Carimã. This hotel is the nearest one to the Brazilian customs and it has a taxi point there. Go, then, by taxi from Carimã to Pto. Iguazú.

3rd.: Take the bus 120-CENTRO/TTU and ask to get off at Bourbon Hotel. There you just cross the avenue and take the bus coming from downtonw and going to Puerto Iguazú.

In all the cases SAY TO THE DRIVER that you need to stop at the BR customs!! The buses usually don't stop there!

Have a safe trip,
Sheila.
