Hi guys
I was in the CAnary Islands Hitch sailing across the Atlantic. There you will find lots of hitch hikers but not enough boats looking for crew.
I managed to find a boat to Cape verde. Here I found lots of boats looking for crew but no hitch hikers and at one point I had a choice of 3 boats. SO. A bit of advice. Head straight to Cape Verde Mindello Marina. ALso you can walk around the marina and talk to the guys. They are all really friendly. The only problem is there is no cheap accommodation in Cape Verde but if you ask some of the captains if it would be possible to sleep in a hammock or in the cockpit most i do not think would refuse if you explain to them what your plan is. well im only talking from my experience as this is what i have been doing. ALso there is a bar opposite the marina called Nautico Bar. HAng around there and talk to people. Talk TAlk TAlk. You got to get yourself known.

Good luck fellow hitchers and see you on the otherside
