Charging CS members €945.00 (nine HUNDRED and 45 euros!!) is completely against the spirit of CouchSurfing.

The ethos of Couchsurfing is not about making money but more about sharing experiences and this equates to no money being charges for services.

I sincerely hope that members go sailing on yachts where the only money they spend is for personal items or gifts to their host.

This sort of use of the Couchsurfing web site is completely wrong.

Hello David, please, don't be so rude. I just want to say two things:

One: My CS Spirit it's really High, I'm one of the most representative CS'rs of my City, I participate on an European movement of Cs'rs adventurous and I host every time I can, so don't talk me about CS Spirit.

Two: This is the share cost of:
Rent the boat
Pay the Skipper
Taxes (boat and tursist)
Sweet water
Gasoil and fuel
drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic)
final cleaning
bed linen and pillows
and 4 t shirts for every one
so, if you can do it cheaper, go on and do it, if not, please work with me, because it's a CS event, just to meet, and CS doesn't mean everything free.

I can say you, this cost 400€ that's just the rent boat sharing, and wen you arrive, you have to pay the rest by your own, will be this more Cs for you?
Do you think it's my boat or my business?? Don't mistake, I'm a telecomunication dealer and this is not my job
