Hi Guys,
Have anyone sent out request to the
hosts and then they asked you to sleep with them? I have encountered
those situations recently. I have sent out the request to the hosts,
and then they replied back with an inappropriate message. I am not sure
what to do about those rather odd situation. or how to report them even? What will u do when you
encounter such a situation? And how can couchsurfing keep those
people out of the site? Especially some of the hosts use it as a
place to have free sex with ladies/guys.

Thanks,

Rain

Hi Rain,
Sorry the People are getting raunchy. I am a very active CSing member of 6 years. 55 houses I've visited & 104 people I've hosted. All ages, male & female. Never any problems But I'm old so that might help. In the past I have read & spoken to some women that were , like yourself propositioned for sex before they got there. They just added it to their profile that CSing is not a dating service & that they were only looking for a place to Couchsurf. This seemed to help. Also I agree with the gentlemans post to go ahead & leave a Neg. ref. This help the community as a whole. You will still accumulate Positive Ref. from other surfers & you can always explain to someone the circumstances of the rest of the story. Don't be afraid to print something like

" WARNING: Couchsurfing is NOT a dating service. I am a traveler & that is the ONLY reason I joined Couchsurfing. All future sexual advances will be met with a NEGITIVE ref. left on your profile." READ all of their profile, question if the Guy is only hosting women, go to some of the womens CSing profiles & message them to see if they felt safe & comfortable at the hosts house?
Stay with women or couples. Have fun & contact me if you ever need help. I may know someone in the rea you want to surf. Just give people at least 3-7days notice if you are planning on asking me. Have fun Couchsurfing is worth it. Debra Dean, Amarillo, TX

Sorry to hear of this happening. Tim's reply is appropriate. Certainly this community isn't about hook-ups so be glad they outed themselves in advance!
Good luck and safe travels ; )
