First question will how you are going to travel. By car or Train/Bus. To Travel via Bus/Train you will have many restrictions. By car it will easy, choose any place and just go. You will never be disappointed. In my point of view the journey to the destination is always better than the destination. In short time only, I am in love with Europe. 
Like on the way to Wengen you can make a stop at Saanen-Gstaad. Engelberg is must go.
You can also consider Brig and Zermatt. Chamonix, Mount Blanc is the highest Mountain in Europe. Annecy near Geneva is very beautiful town. Cortina d'Ampezzo, Lucca are also very beautiful.
List of small and beautiful villages will be endless in Europe. If you plan to come to Milan, Italy, do let me know. 
Hope you will have nice time in Europe.
