From Mexico to Argentina by bicycle. Need some advice
Posted December 21st, 2012 - 1:54 am by from Balashikha, Russia (Permalink)
Hey bicycle lovers!

We are two Russian guys traveling from Guadalajara, Mexico to Buenos Aires, Argentina by bikes. Our purpose is not only to cover about 12 000 km, but also describe bicycle culture in Latin America's countries.

We've been already to Mexico D.F. and Guadalajara. Now in Acapulco. Soon we are going to come to Guatemala, but we still have some questions... Would be nice if you can give us an advice.

1. Where is it better to cross the border between Mexico and Guatemala?
2. How we can get from Panama to Columbia?
3. Any other advices? :-)

Thank you in advance!

Our trip is part of Russian cycling development project Let's bike it! It is non-profit and non-political organization, made by young people. Our main goal is to promote bicycles as a transport means.

We've started our project in April, 2010. The first step was the bicycle trip from Russia to Portugal. Then we did the movie about that trip and cycling culture in Europe. It was shown already in more than 80 cities in Russia, Ukraine and other countries. Since 2010 we have some more great results, as for example the bicycle parade in the center of Moscow with more than 8000 participants.
