Traveling the United States...Suggestions? Ideas?
Hello, my name is Patrick! I live in Los Angeles, and am a 22 year old college student. My uncle is a very successful business man, and has always told me to learn about the world through what I experience. And I've reached a point where I want to experience more in the world, and help out in the process. So I've been drafting this plan to travel to all of the state capitals in all 50 states, and volunteer through helping out different homeless shelters, food banks, Ronald Mcdonald Houses, and other various programs. The only problem is, I want to do it on a budget, and not go the route of spending on hotels and stuff, so i'm going to be looking for places to stay for one week in each capital.
I'm responsible, tidy, clean, friendly, well mannered, and don't mind helping out at all. I'm going to be out most of the time, helping out where I can and cataloging my journey along the way. I'll have only a suitcase and a backpack with me, and will be able to cover all my own food and transportation costs, so i'm really only looking for a simple couch or floor to curl up on at night and set my stuff down while i'm there.
Any suggestions? :)
