- good, sunny weather
- sea, ocean etc and beach
- no term of tornadoes...

I think about Los Angeles and San Francisco but Im not sure... Can you help me? I will be so grateful :)
Best wishes from Poland!

Thanks for replies :)
I was thinking about Florida ( Miami is a city which I would love to visit!) but in the Internet I searched information that in September in this area are bad weather- there is raining a lot. Do you think it's worth to go there...?

Ahoj Karola,

I am just back in USA from Brno, and lived many years in Florida. So I can give you just a little advice.

Miami is a great Latin cultural town, with good club/beach/food life. Lots of amazing old Art Deco period antiques and architecture. The west coast in general has some other interesting beaches too, on the Atlantic ocean. Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, are very popular. Cape Canaveral where the Space Shuttles are launched has Cocoa Beach, and Melbourne Beach which are cool, smaller beaches with some nice beach bars with good local fish and seafood.

Kissimmee is where you'd want to be if you want to visit Diney World, Epcot Center, Seaworld and the states main tourist attractions. Obviously the most touristy area ever, but still has an extreme amount of "fun" activities. It's really a short drive from almost anywhere in the south of Florida, for short day-trips. Jacksonville is very, very military, and to me is rather boring, compared to the rest of the state.

My preference is the west coast of Florida. The beaches are absolutely world class, with Conde-Nast rating Sarasota, Siesta Key, Naples as having the finest white beach sand in the world. Fort Myers and below has exploded in population in the last 20 years, has some nice areas, but the regions around Sarasota and further north are much nicer for doing a relexing beach thing, and still being close to other attractions. I lived in St. Petersburg and Clearwater area, which has some really nice beaches, lots of great food, and good nightlife also. Salvadore Dali museum is definitely worth a visit if you're surrealist art freak. Really nice exhibitions. The city of Tampa is rather industrial, but has a cool party area known as ybor City that used to be where the Cuban immigrants started up lots of cigar factories over a hundred years ago. Lots of great bars with good live music, especially on the weekends for sure. Further north than Clearwater and the cool Greek settlement of Tarpon Springs and the Scottish village of Dunedin , there is nothing at all exciting about beaches or beach life, really. Panama City up around the Gulf of Mexico is a US Navy town, with some cool beaches and beach life also.

You will have one month I guess, so you may consider visiting some place like New Orleans, or going up to Myrtle Beach, or Charleston in South Carolina, also. Savannah Georgia is also a great place to spend a couple of days chilling out.

In any case, if you have questions, feel free to ask, I'll be happy to help you plan a realistic, cool plan. Hope this helped. Best of luck. By the way, bring us some good Zubrowka :P
