At 19? Wow, few of my friends are capable of doing a skilled job/trade at this age yet... Don't know what to tell you though. You've been here 3.5 months and haven't been able to find work?

Hey I know this is a late reply but I just joined the group.
There are about 10 new breweries opening in Vancouver this year so it is definitely growing. The best way to get a position in the brewery would be to join the vancouver homebrew society. Most of the brewers in vancouver attend these meetings so it is a great way for you to network (coal harbour, russels, parallel 49, steamworks ect.). A lot of people end up having to start off in another position in the brewery first...washing kegs bottling and what not and then earn your position as a brewer. But ya... Id say your best step is to join homebrew society.
