* Events & Activities this year will be more hands on, and more nature and craft/skill-focused
Detroit Camp City Activity Schedule
Wednesday, July 11th - Hands on Ann Arbor
Explore Detroit's lovely, verdant neighbor. Take part in ancient stone rituals, traverse forest and field, jump off bridges and rustle up craft brews!
Thursday, July 12th - Incident at Carpenter Lake
Spend the day at Toledo Ambassador, Mike's lake house, where you can learn fire craft, be on a boat! (or kayak), visit the Amish bakery, learn blacksmithing and live out your Deer Hunter fantasies (the movie, not the sport) among other Camp games & activities. Then party under the stars with a bonfire & live music! Crash inside or bring/share a tent. There shouldn’t be any serial killers on the loose....
Friday, July 13th - Get Lucky in Detroit
Enjoy a day of activities in and around Detroit, including DJ lessons - be a guest DJ at the Detroit Camp City Welcome Party! Whether you were dropped off Wednesday or are just arriving at Camp, the Welcome Party’s where all campers and counselors meet and mix. There will be plenty of activities for all tastes, like cotton candy making, pole dance instruction, Morton's List, a dance, CouchSurfing Cocktails, and "Deer Hunter Part Deux."
Saturday, July 14th - Detroit Without Borders
Enjoy a full day of activities, including our (in)famous bike tour, in Detroit or our Canadian neighbor, Windsor across the river. End the day at a bonfire before camping out under however many stars are visible in the city.
Sunday, July 15th - CSurvivor: Belle Isle
Join us for a big picnic shelter brunch that becomes the all-day potluck pit stop for teams competing in CSurvivor. Activities across the island earn Campers transferable merit badges. Competition heats up as people vote themselves off the island (leave for home) throughout the day. Be the first to present all Belle Isle merit badges and win prizes including Detroit Camp City's 2012 Exemplary Camper Award!
