Lets get together!

Hello,
I was born and raised in CT but discovered Couchsurfing while living in California and have used it all over. I am back now in CT and will be for a while and would love to get on some events similar to ones I have been a part of before.

1- In Cali we did a pancake breakfast and someones house every month or every two weeks. Would anyone want to try and organize or host something like that?

2- Hiking... Even though I am from CT, I know very little about hiking and such and would love to get in some hikes on some of these beautiful weekends we are having.

Who is down?

I'd love to do pancake breakfasts, though the problem might be how spread out everyone is-- it looks like you're about an hour and a half from me, for example. If we can find some more centrally-located people that are willing to host, I'd be totally down for that.

I am also in the central area of Connecticut, and think that's an awesome idea. I'm not in a great position to host, but I've been interested in hiking at the Cockaponset state forest, if anyone in the group is interested in going.

I have a place possible for hosting but I am new in my current home, so I will need to check with my roommates that they are alright with something like that.

As for hiking... I am certainly in! I have weekends off. What about thanksgiving weekend?

Cool! I was thinking about going to Cockaponset this weekend, but definitely could go the weekend after as well.

Hey Emma! Sorry I didn't see your post sooner - I have my own thread going under "Friends!!"

Anyway, I'm always looking for people to hike with. We have a lot of great spots in CT. I live right outside of New Haven, but I don't mind a drive to wherever.

Let me know if you have any time coming up when you want to go. Weekends are best for me.

I am also down for hanging out around central CT and New Haven.

I'm living for the next month or so in Newington, just south of Hartford, and am free pretty much anytime.

Might be too cold for much outdoor stuff, but I'm interested if other folks are. And potlucks (pancake and otherwise) are always fun, just let me know.

See ya,
Steve
