Camping in Georgia
Posted December 2nd, 2012 - 11:26 pm by from Ojai, United States (Permalink)
Hi, I'll be coming through Georgia in March/April, and I'd love to know of some good camping spots.

I am a backpacker (international), and I love camping with a little tent. I can hike in about two miles. I prefer free (no money involved) camping in wilderness (or at least uncrowded) areas.

Thanks. I hope to hear from you and maybe meet up! Bunny

Raven cliff Falls. Hands down. No contest. It's free, unregulated, short trail, great falls, just about 1.5 hrs north of Atlanta near Helen, just past Duke's Creek Falls a quarter mile. Dozen or so primitive campsites on a clear clean cold creek. Consistently rated the #2 best hike in GA but rarely known by visitors to the state.
