Taking a big leap of faith, moving to New York!

Hey there everyone!

I currently work in Singapore as an Operations Executive. I was the Tenant Relations Officer at SM Mall of Asia in the Philippines which is one of the top ten biggest malls in the world. I'm thinking of moving to New Work for my next career stint, I'm into retail management and marketing/public relations, I am willing as well to explore non-managerial office support position. Just want to know if you have direct contacts with New York employment agencies where my credentials could be assessed for job matching? Would love to hear tips as well.

Hear from you soon! Thanks!!!

I don't have connections in your industry, but I'd say that if you're going to go through the job seeking process in NYC, you had better have efficient response time. From what I've learned from moving here and searching for work, people expect fast replies in general. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hey SH, WT and Alison!

Thank you so much for your insights! I really appreciate it!

I heard that it's a bit tough to get a job with visa sponsorship if I'm going to do it all by myself, that's why I was thinking of having mine processed by an employment agency, I know there's a certain amount that must be shelled out but I'm willing to consider it. How's the employment agencies doing there? would you know the placement fees?

Again, thanks guys! It helps more than you know =)

I hope to meet you all in the near future! haha
