Hi!

After the Couchsurfing Website ate my first and very extensive post, I'm just gonna write up something real quick.

To respond to Belas request for a short intro:
This is also my first post to this group, so I don't know how it is usually handled here.

In my experience there's really only one rule:
If you invite, you set the rules ;)

That means:
If you want people to bring specific pre-cooked dishes, you ask for it.
If you want people to bring ingredients and cook at your place, you let us know.

So, don't worry you don't have to cook for the whole party (but you could if you wanted to ;) )

Barbara and I have previously hosted a few dinner parties in Osnabrück, where we used to live until March of this year.
Here are some examples of what you could do:

Part I - Mexican:

Part II - Pizza:

Part III - Everything "red":

Part V - Finger food:

Part VI - Mexican (again - it's a great theme!) :

Part VII - American:

I am sure you are even more creative :)
Just post something and other people will join in and follow your lead.

Cheers,
Sebastian (& Barbara)

PS: One additional thought: Do we really need this sub-group or would we get more response and maybe more interested people (maybe even lots of people just "traveling trough") if we just posted the dinners into the main Frankfurt group?

PPS: Disclaimer: I borrowed the idea of setting a theme from Tuesday Night Dinner at Mike’s in Wellington, New Zealand. :)
