Match? Or even tournament?
Posted October 10th, 2010 - 11:20 am by from Prague, Czech Republic (Permalink)
Greetings to all!

It is more than month since I created this group and it seems like it is finally getting crowded. Six members! That is like 3 single matches or one and half doubles.

So what about to meet to play? Next weekend, let's say Sunday? My knowledge of Barcelona courts is limited to the one were Olympic games used to be and the price there is about 20 euros per hour, so any other suggestion is welcome. Who is in?

Jakub

Hi all!

Great idea, I'm in, next Sunday so far seems fine for me.
Recently I've made a little research of tennis clubs in BCN. Unfortunately it seems really expensive (compared to central european countries:) Here I summarize my results:

Hope to meet you soon!

There was also one boy offering court in Masnou for free, so we can try to ask him: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/roger82/

Hi guys,

thanks a lot for your replies! And really sorry for not replying (-10 points for me) - I was a little bit sick and then suddenly left for a film festival - the tennis just slipped away from my mind. Anyway, after the first match we will be able to meet for, the first beers are on me!

Marek, thanks a lot for your extensive list of courts. For me, the one at Fabra i Puig is really worth a try during October because I am taking a train to my village from there. (on November I am moving to BCN, so will have more time for all kinds sport and culture ... hooray!)

So I would humbly suggest to try this Sunday at 3 o'clock there, but let's see who has time. You can contact me and remind me on 634 103 120 or just reply on this thread.

cheers!

Jakub

So let's play this weekend then! Is Saturday afternoon OK for you? let's say at 16:00? About a place - I don't know them much yet so I prefer you to pick but if there will be no other suggestion I would try Tenis Meridiana as Marek suggested earlier. Let's hope we will meet this time.

So who is in? Jude? Others (if they can find the racket ;)

see you on court

Jakub

PS: unfortunately I have only one racket so I can't help you with this quest
