Posted June 1st, 2010 - 8:23 pm by from Harris, United States (Permalink)
Hi everyone, my family and I will be moving to the Minot area in a few months and I would like to chat with a few people to get a feel of the area. We will also be looking for a rental to house my hubby, 11 yr old daughter, 2 dogs and myself. so if you could make some recommendations, that would be awesome!!

well i am from Minot but I do not know a lot about renting homes as I am only 22 and when I come back to Minot i just stay with my family. Minot is a great place to be right now and the economy is really strong. You shouldn't have a problem renting a house, though it may be harder with pets. A little secret about Minot is that it has a great dog park! Its a great community out there and a good way to meet new people! Hope this helps!

Well, I have bad news for ya. I spent the last four months looking for a cheap house to rent in minot. I finally found one that would let me have my dog.

Basiclly you won't find much unless your not picky on the house's looks or if you can afford to spend around $1000 a month on rent. Even then some of those houses are not very nice.

Last I saw there was a two bedroom house for rent. It was $650 a month plus all util. If you had an pet it was an extra $50 a month.

Some places to check are www.minotdaily.com, http://minotmoreproperties.com/, apts.minot.com, and http://www.smc-minot.com/

DO NOT rent from IMM properties. They are horrible about maintaining your house/apartment. I have heard nothing but bad things about them.

If you have any other qestions give me a yell! :)

I work on the farm so that's my fitness. It seems like a decent amount of people go to "anytime fitness" so maybe give them a call. I know nothing about the library. I bought a kindle... best purchase ever...

As far as the five guys, I have no idea what those places are... and since I've never heard anyone say anything about them before I'm guessing neither minot nor bismarck have them.
