I've had a few weird experiences with surfers, perhaps they might interest you.

Once during a big CS event here in Vienna I had a house full of surfers who I was hosting. Two of them were REALLY smelly and totally stank up the place (especially the shower!). I later came to realise that they were basically homeless.

While most of the guys here are gentlemen, there are still a few who don't quite get that CS is NOT a dating service. One guy I was hosting came out of the shower with a sleazy grin on his face (thank God he was at least wrapped in a towel... yuck!) and I still remember the disappointed look on his face when the other 4 people I was hosting came through the door.

One time I was hosting a guy and a girl who didn't know each other. After dinner we had a few drinks and they ended up making up on the couch. She then crawled into bed with me, totally drunk, and told me (so loud that he could hear us, I'm sure) that the only reason she didn't go all the way with him was because he had a small dick. I've had a "girls only" hosting policy since then. LOL. It was funny but also VERY embarrassing!!

But other than those 3 experiences it has been so wonderful and I've met some amazing people :)

Well, i can understand that after few epic experiences, you dont feel like hosting a guy who believes its party tiiiiiiiiiime ! :)
Yeah, i ve heard as well stories of some people mostly complaining about the place, but not the host (most of it). I think its also symptomatic from CS :)

I dont know if you guys have any interesting stories to share with me (could be CS or others) but please dont hesitate to share with me.
I would like as well to have your opinion about how CS has changed in few years, according to you (is the typical 'profile' of a couchsurfers is changing? which differences you have noticed etc..)
