Posted May 15th, 2013 - 5:57 pm by from Frederick, United States (Permalink)
Hi Guys,

Finally I wrote a blog about my trip to Bali! Better late then never! ;-) This new blogging platform makes it super easy to write blogs! http://bit.ly/traveling-and-helping-children

Now I will be able to travel and making money with writing blogs about my journey! Yippie!

This affiliate program pays a 100% commission. So far I wrote 5 blogs and earned $300 :-)

Let me know if you are interested in writing about your travels and make money doing it!

Posted May 23rd, 2013 - 7:29 pm by from Frederick, United States (Permalink)
Hi Erik,

I was wondering why you think it's bullshit. I personally know people who make really good money with this program.

Posted May 23rd, 2013 - 9:03 pm by from Groningen, Netherlands (Permalink)
because its just another pyramid scheme.

you make a blog and hope other pay you, and they will to

same like a have an idea how to make you rich, pay me 25 euro.

and then my advice is you do the same. its called pyramid.

you just bought a very expensive blog page, and you hope other people will too.

you got tricked, quit before you look like a real fool,
and alienate people

same bullshit copy and paste you always get.

once there are no more people joining the network money will dry out.

sure people make money. in every pyramid scheme people can make money.

just stay ignorant, but dont put this shit on CS.

Posted May 23rd, 2013 - 11:53 pm by from Frederick, United States (Permalink)
You can call me ignorant or whatever you want. While you are bitching about MLM's on CS, my friends from Empower Network are enjoying their time in Thailand and helping out in orphanages. Have a nice life!

i doubt if you they even have an orphanage, stop dreaming about making big money, get a life!!

100% agree with Eric - stay away from this!

So just because I came across and read this. Dude you are ridiculous. Just let people do what they feel like doing. You have a negative attitude and that's unnecessary. You have no idea what's on the other side especially because you haven't tried it nor put in the effort to see what is there. So until you have don't put your useless two-sense into it. It just makes you out to sound like a jerk. Which in fact I bet you are because you have no better time than to be a jerk to others on the internet. You, my fellow CSer are in fact the one that needs to get a life.

Posted May 27th, 2013 - 2:26 am by from Groningen, Netherlands (Permalink)
hmm you clearly still dont know these pyramid schemes work.
and for your fact i was a volunteer teacher in nepal, paid out of my own pockets. The only thing i am doing here is warning people not to fall in this scam trick, these people will do anything to talk money out of your pockets with their agressive marketing. so please inform yourself a bit more into these internet scams,

enjoy nepal by the way

Posted May 27th, 2013 - 4:30 am by from Tacoma, United States (Permalink)
Everyone knows about internet scams, just have common sense. Plus you can look at this one like hey, I could blog and make money. That'd be cool. But you don't need to do it through a website like that. Paying to blog is stupid. To react like you did though, was very immature and unnecessary. You can react in a normal and everything be fine. But you reacted very aggressively and rude. You can give an opinion without sounding like a jerk.
I'm also volunteering in Nepal and am paying out of my pocket. I've been here since August (aside from a month side trip to India). So I'm not doing any of these things. But it's interesting to know. I do know quite a few people who write blogs to gain money, but really, I'm too lazy for that so I'd just rather not. I'd fail my viewers by forgetfulness. haha Nepal is amazing though, so it's cool you had the pleasure of experiencing it.

I love the way that this thread is going!

Network Marketers are scammers!

Affiliate Marketers are scammers!

People who run orphanages are scammers!

People who organize volunteers are scammers!

What's next?

You will tell people not to go to a certain country because you or somebody else you know had a bad experience there?

Tell people not to eat ethnic food because you didn't like it?

Tell people that Asians or Blacks or Purple people are bad, because you know somebody who treated you badly?

Tell people not to go to school because they might not be able to use what they learned?

If you sign up for classes and don't read your books, does that make the school a scam?

You admit yourself that you are too lazy to do it! Most people are!

Only 10% of the people who buy educational books or CD's ever read it or listen to it. Only 1% will read it or listen to it all the way! It works if you apply what you learn, it doesn't if you don't even read or listen...

Just like with everything in life, there are good people and bad people.

I've been to this orphanage personally. For the same reason, you mentioned earlier. I DO know that some orphanages are scams, just like a lot of HUGE nonprofit organizations are taking most of the money to feed the officers wallet.

I know that this orphanage is legit and I also know somebody from Germany who spends 2 - 3 months/per year helping out there. One of my friends just helped out there also for a month in March.

I really feel sorry for both of you. Your negativity is poisoning you and you are trying to spread the poison to others.

You could be nice about it and advise people to do their research before they do something instead of being negative jerks.

Also people often accuse people with what they do themselves. You said that Empower Network people are rude and ruthless? What you call yourself when you post your crappy comments into the thread that I started?

Luckily not everybody is like you! Since I started this thread, 355 people read my blog. Many people asked me questions about the orphanage, Bali and Empower Network. I have two businesses that are doing well and they both afford me the freedom to travel, see the world and help others!

Have a nice life!

Mariann

1st: MLM doesn't = Scam

2nd: My friend who is making $20,000 month with Empower Network got a Masters Degree in Marketing and now he has $100,000 in student loans to pay back. He could not get a job with his degree, so would you call education a scam? He will be paying his student loan back with the money that he is earning with EN.

3rd: There is no such thing as saturation in MLM, because most people are too lazy to do it, just like Josolynn said.

4th: It all comes down to the value that people receive from anything that they do in their lives. It's not for you to decide whether people will receive value or not. EN has great training on internet marketing and it cost way less then some of the Colleges and Universities.

As to reply to your earlier post, here are some people who are making money with EN blogging platform, were able to quit their jobs and move to Thailand recently. In this post they are helping out at an orphanage in Thailand.

https://www.facebook.com/glennarcaro/posts/10200692896259109

EN also donated $66,000 to Habitat for Humanity in January. You can see it here:
http://bit.ly/en-giving-back

They also donated $30,000 to the Red Cross to help the victims of the Boston bombing in April.

I also just found out last night that EN paid out over 60 million dollars in commission in just over a year and half.

Should I say more?

I appreciate that you are trying to educate people, but please do some research and get some facts before you do it.

The Empower Network Ripoff – Don’t Buy Into the Hype

by KYLE on MARCH 24, 2013 · 152 COMMENTS

Empower Network – A Scam for the Ages

Name: Empower Network
Website: www.theempowernetwork.com
Price: $25/mth basic, $100/mth inner circle, $19 payment, $500 Costa Rica Intensive
Owners: David Wood & David Sharpe
Overall Rank: 0 out of 100 points (yes, ZERO)

The Product
Empower Network (EN) has been often times confused as being a REAL opportunity because of the relentless marketing taking place by the people pushing the product. However, there are many folks with real experience with Empower Network that are not happy and I am going to uncover some of the reasons why within. In this review I am going to be walking you through what EN is and help you decide whether or not it might be your path to Internet success.

Before I get started though I just want to clarify one thing. Empower Network is one of the lowest ranked products that I have ever reviewed and you are going to get a good idea why. If you are reading this, chances are you have been subject to someone “shamelessly” promoting EN to you and that is a normalcy. They are slimy, they promote slimy promotions, and if you become a member you are going to unfortunately be required to pass on the “slimy” tradition.

Pros vs. Cons
There are few pros and a lot of cons with Empower Network. The problem is that there is no real product behind the program, the product is YOU promoting the product to other people and building a downline. Unlike other MLM products where there is actually a product that you are selling, Empower completely lacks this element.

Pros:

Get your own empowernetwork.com blog
Cons:

Has all of the common attributes of a PYRAMID Scheme

No clear description of what the business is about, what you will be doing or what kind of interests you need for success.

If you join, you have to become a ruthless sales person promoting Empower Network to others

Riddled with “upsells”
If you want to succeed, you have to invest minimum $140/mth
You have to PAY $20 per month just so you can get paid

The owner are located in Costa Rica (and in my opinion to avoid the FTC)

Widespread COMPLAINTS online about Empower Network
No access to the owners
No free trial

Who is Empower Network Intended for?
They claim everyone is going to earn money, with little money, with little work, on autopilot! Sounds like the DREAM we are all envisioning doesn’t it. However, that is not the reality of this program. Although anyone can join this product, it is intended for people that are willing to work very hard to build a downline and in many cases, do so in an unethical way because you are not actually “selling” anything to people, you are selling the fact that they will be able to sell what you are selling.

Thanks so much for the reality check. These programs seem so possible until you factor in the human greed. They just seem so possible.

Hi Amanda,

First, I'm not here to try to convince anyone to join Empower Network, I'm simply offering an opportunity. There are a lot of ways to make money and at this stage of my life I'm only interested in opportunities that I can enjoy.

I'm inviting everybody to do the same, to find a way to make money with what they enjoy. I believe that traveling and blogging about it is one of the greatest opportunities.

Making money with Empower Network is not only possible, but a reality for many people. Some of them I know personally! We met in Chicago at the last seminar, where they had 5000 people, and almost everyone there was making money. The stage was packed with people who made at least $5000.

The company is only a year and half old and has over 100,000 members. Since they started, they paid out $60 million dollars in commissions.

So yes, you CAN make money with it, but it's so much more than that.

I just spent $2200 at the local college to learn about internet marketing and found that the training offered by Empower Network is so much better and more up to date then what I learned in school.

Aside from the training that will teach you how to market anything on the internet, (not just Empower Network) the real value is who you become in the process. Just like the name says: it's a network of people that will help you to empower yourself.

The real product is YOU! It gives you a rare opportunity to share yourself with the world and earn income while doing it. You wouldn't be living in Nepal and writing your book if you didn't believe in yourself Amanda.

I just started a 90 day video challenge and here is my video from day 3. http://socialmediabar.com/fear-or-excitement

Please feel free to friend me on FB https://www.facebook.com/mariann.tilton? and see what my friend saying about me.

Also here are my other websites:

http://www.kidshelpingkidsworldwide.org

http://www.accessyourliving.com

Once you get to know me better, you will see that I'm not here to "scam" people out of their money.

Worked in orphanages and now I'm making jewelry with a group of volunteers and high school children to raise money for an orphanage in Bali, Indonesia.

Here is their website: http://www.narayanaseva.com

I loved reading your blog and I know that you are already providing a great value to people with your blogs and your book!

Best wishes

Mariann

once again,

you dont have a product

you are still talking about overhyped seminars/ people
that make 1200000 dollars easy.

its a pyramid scheme. some people make a lot of money, but many people loose that money.

please go direct your reiki master energy into something real

like the orphanage.

greetings

Erik

I agree with Erik. It is not good to put such thing to CS because topic sounds like you will do something and will earn money over it not like pay, do and get more. This should be on "earning money over internet" stuff. People in CS are not businessmen in my opinion. Of course there are a lot of businessmen in this community but for me, people are using CS not for investigeting money. Generally for cheaper life, meeting new people, learning to find balanced ecnomoy for a healthy travelling life etc.

About pyramide, I agree. I was almost going to be cheated from couple guys in Ukraine. They showed the system like it is so sweat and easy but at the and they said you need to pay that much so you can start bla bla bla. I searched about it and I understand that this pyramide systems generally falls down after its popularity goes away because it lives only if more and more new people comes to system.

Plus, ethically, it is not a good system in my belief. Of course everybody has their own belief but earning money over money is not true for me. It makes the economy worser, unbalanced. People should earn the money after their work how much they deserve. I am against such system like earning money by advertisements, earning money over money. All these things urges people to do something just for money. Then, the blogs became untasty. Without soul. I won't read the blogs written with this pyramide systems.
