Hello everybody!
Everthing’s fine!? I hope you are well. First of all, I want to describe myself. I’m Pol a Spanish guy from Barcelona who has been travelling around Southamerica the last 2 years. Finally I’m in Barcelona again, but it is just for a short time. For that reason I’m looking for job abroad, and Oceania could be a great place to go ahead with my life. Could you help me sharing information about work and travel in Oceania? Ok, I know, Oceania is a big continent with a lot of countries, but you know what? in every place you could search an experience, and i'm looking for it.
And if you don’t know about this subject, maybe you know some foreigner living in your neighborhood and maybe he or she can help me. Especially about VISA and how to get work there.
To tell the truth, I’m so exciting about this project. I hope that you can help me. And sorry for my English.

Take care, hugs!
Pol

Hi Ben!

Thanks a lot for you answer! I gonna explain you my plan easily. I want to find a place (not in Barcelona) to try to live there for a period of time. I will try to find a job and live as people who lives there, not as a turist. Doesn't matter what type of work 'cause I know how difficult is to find a job abroad. So, working as a waiter, in a hostel,.. whatever. However, I've studied cinema and TV in Barcelona.
That's why I wrote in the group. Just to know how to get the visa there and maybe, some CS have a job for me. The last experience that I had was in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) where I was working there for six months and I could live as them.
Of course I've heard about Fiji, what a perfect place..

could you help me?

regards!

Pol

Hi Pol -

Do some research before you head 'down under'. If you want to work in places like Australia or New Zealand you need to have the right sort of a visa. As long as you are under age 30 it is not difficult to get a work visa for New Zealand. There are good chances to get seasonal work. It is not well paid and it is not always nice work; but it gets you money. Like work on a dairy farm (long hours, diry work]; or pruning grape vines. There are websites like HELPX where jobs are posted for foreign workers. There is also WOOFERS where you work a few hours each day in exchange for food and somewhere to stay. September -October is a good time to head to Australia and New Zealand since it is the spring.

A few years ago Spain was added to the list of countries which young people could get a work visa.

Good luck and hope that helps.
