free volunteering opportunity to help the needy kids in Uganda

Hello All
My name is Emmanuel Tugume,the coordinator of the volunteer program offered by Lyantonde community development Initiative(LCDI), a local non profit operating in the crater lakes area,in Fort Portal western Uganda.
With support from lake Kifuruka Eco-campsite (www.kifuruka.com)the non profit accepts volunteers to assist in the development programs that aim at fostering general community development in this rural hard to reach village.
We welcome Volunteer who wish to assist in one of the following areas;
1-Teaching basic English, mathematics,science, drawing or games and
sports in a needy community pre-primary and primary community school.
2-Teaching tourism and business skills/lessons to tourism and business
students who include needy youths from our area whom we train to become guides,chefs,managers, business men/job creation etc
3-participating in one of our community sensitization programs on
environment, sustainable modern agricultural practices, water and
sanitation, HIV/Aids, human rights, piggery project for orphans,and
community development etc.you may also do the marketing for our
campsite and tours.
Our program offers a flexible work timetable aimed at allowing you to
travel over the weekends (Friday after noon to Monday Morning) and
that means if you are traveling in Uganda, you can make tours every
weekend.
WHAT DO WE OFFER:
1- The program offers volunteers safe, clean but basic accommodation
and meals at lake Kifuruka Eco camp at the rim of lake Kifuruka in the heart of the crater lakes area in the south of Fort Portal, western Uganda.

2--We offer 3 meals a day to volunteers meals,and safe (boiled) water to drink.
4-We offer a flexible time table for your time of engagement at school in order to leave you with enough time to travel in weekends.
DO WE CHARGE PEOPLE TO VOLUNTEER?
NO; we do not charge any body for volunteering. We only ASK for a
small cost sharing for meals. The rest is all free.
Volunteers pay for their own travel, medical and insurance expenses.

AT the end of the volunteer period, we give certificates of
accomplishment to the participant.
