Hello Giovanni.

Great that you put a little info for the 'newbies' in Hong Kong.
I will try later again to get onto Twix, but I am very dubious about accepting more things onto my laptop. I am also a slow learner in the world of technology and it's a bit of a barrier.

Anyhoo I had a very quick question which you may be able to help me with.

I used to live in Hong Kong back in 1994-6 and 2003.

I am looking at returning to Hong Kong to do a little teaching work/any other kind of casual work and just wanted to ask a question regarding the current status of casual English teaching.

Here's the question:
Knowing that all the schools close down for Christmas and Chinese New Year and there's not a great deal of time in between in 2014, would turning up early December be a good idea to start working casually and organising private students etc?
I've been out of teaching for a while and can't remember how it works during these times and didn't want to turn up in December to find that things don't really get going until Mid February as I can have fun elsewhere first.

Did you do some teaching there? If you are the wrong guy then I apologise, but if you could pass this on to someone who would know I would be super happy.

Hope you are well and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks

Glen COx
